FRWA will offer one scholarship to a deserving individual in each Water Management District annually. If no qualifying applications are received in a district, that award can be used by the district with qualifying applications.
The Curtis E. Lloyd Scholarship Program was created by the FRWA Board in memory of our first "Circuit Rider" hired by the association to travel the state of Florida assisting water system operators in all aspects of a utilities operation.
Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, educational fees, books, and/or room, and board.
Application Requirements:
1. Complete application form
2. Submittal should be postmarked by March 31st of the award year
3. Invited to attend Florida Rural Water Association Annual Meeting to accept Scholarship
Criteria:
Applicant must be at least 17 years of age
High School Graduate
Pursuit of a Water, Wastewater or Distribution Operators License or related Water Industry profession
Preference given to veterans, son or daughter of current certified operator
FRWA employee family members can also qualify
